There are essentially four main types of mattresses:

Innerspring

Innerspring mattresses use coil springs for support and a variety of padding and upholstery to make them as soft as you like. They are available in a very wide comfort spectrum, from extremely firm to impossibly soft.

Memory Foam / Gel Memory Foam

Memory Foam was developed by NASA for use on the astronaut’s chairs inside space capsules, so Memory Foam mattresses mold to your body providing shock and vibration absorption, as well as more even support.

Gel Memory Foam mattresses have the additional feature of an injection of gel into the foam for extra support and cooling features.

Latex

Latex mattresses are allergen-resistant and can last up to 20 years! Although some claim latex mattresses have difficulty finding the right balance between comfort and support, we carry some really great and very comfortable latex mattresses we can show you.

Hybrid

Hybrid mattresses combine the sturdy coil system of an innerspring mattress with the pressure relieving, contouring comfort of memory foam (or latex). Hybrid mattresses are often less expensive than memory foam mattresses, and perform better than budget memory foam mattresses.
